As I was going through my Intro to Criminal Justice class, a fellow class mate and buddy of mine brought to my attention that he got mobile updates anytime a story broke in the criminal justice area. The particular incident he told me about was the murders of the Oakland Police officers. So, I decided that in order to keep up, I would sign up for the same service he has.
The website is www.policelink.com. I signed up and started getting email notifications almost immediately. It is much more than I thought it would be. There is not only news, but also information on careers and schools. It also updated me on what President Obama was doing to help law enforcement via the bailout.
If you or someone you know is a police officer or if you would like some information on how to become a police officer, I would definately recommend this site. It has great content!

Oklahoma Police Phonetic Alphabet
I found myself today looking for an official list of the State of Oklahoma's Phonetic Alphabet. I was very unsuccessful. However, I made a few calls and I believe I have the list. I know for a fact this is the list that the Oklahoma State Park Rangers use. I am almost positive that this is the one the Oklahoma State Troopers use. The point of this post is to find an official copy from a law enforcement officer in the State of Oklahoma. If no such list exists, I just need verification of the list I have posted. Any comments are welcome! It will serve as a reference to Oklahoma police officers. Thanks in advance!!!

Most Oklahoma law enforcement agencies use the above listed phonetic alphabet. I know for a fact that these are the ones Oklahoma State Park Rangers use. I believe Oklahoma State Troopers use this as well but I am not positive. I hope this helps anyone wanting to know about the codes in Oklahoma!
